FIELDVIEW is an interactive data visualization package that assistsengineers and scientists in investigating features of complex, 3-D fluiddynamic data sets. The package is designed to compute a variety of scalarand vector functions on the field data and represent the results ascutting planes, ISO surfaces, arrow fields, contour lines, and particlepaths, which can then be easily viewed using the mouse-driven interface.Additional features such as 2-D line plots, transparency, thresholding,and direct video tape output make FIELDVIEW a powerful interpretation andvalidation tool.
